The American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), Indiana Society for Healthcare Engineering (ISHE), HepaCart, and Viega welcome you to a comprehensive and informative symposium for architect, engineering and healthcare professionals.
Proactively prevent the future risk of hospital acquired infections and illness and potential liability and litigation due to exposure to waterborne pathogens in our healthcare facilities during the most critical intervention: the planning, design and construction phases. Legionella is considered the new asbestos with lawyers across the US specializing in this field.
This course is designed for professionals directly involved in the planning, design, and construction of new health care facilities and projects. This program identifies the preventive measures, materials, and methods that every project manager, architect, engineer, contractor, and facilities manager contractor should assess and implement for a successful project.
While working in a health care environment, we all need to understand our unique role and be prepared to implement processes to protect patients, staff, and visitors from hospital-acquired infections and illness due to waterborne pathogens exposure. There are early measures that can be incorporated during the planning, design and construction phases that will have the largest impact on future infection risk reduction.
This program examines best practices in the design and construction of healthcare facilities.
